SHOOTING Chilis parking lot police not searching for any suspects

Police and emergency crews were called to Chilis parking lot for reports of two people shot shortly after 6:00PM on Sunday evening.

Witnesses told Siouxland Scanner that a female was running from the vehicle yelling for help before falling to the ground.

Sgt Brian Clausen with Sioux City Police confirmed a male was found deceased in the vehicle, a Blue Toyota Rav 4 and a female transported to the hospital, both with gunshot wounds. Police say they are not currently searching for any suspects related to the shooting.
