Two arrested on child endangerment charges

While serving a warrant for Matthew Sandoval, 23, officers found a person consuming methamphetamine, open bags of methamphetamine, used drug paraphernalia, and 2 Juveniles ages 3 and 4 present.

Kara Thomas, 28 was arrested on 2 counts of child endangerment without injury and one count of Prohibited Acts after admitted to doing drugs within a few feet of the children which she admitted are hers.

Matthew Sandoval was arrested on 2 counts of child endangerment without injury, Possession of Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, Prohibited Acts, 2 counts of Driving while Barred, Reckless Driving, Drivers License Revoked, Drivers License Suspended, Fraudulent Use of Registration, No Vehicle Insurance, Speeding, and Eluding.

Court Documents say that when officers entered the residence just after midnight on Friday, November, 4th 2016 Sandoval jumped from a second story window in order to evade arrest. Some charges stem from Thursday, November 3rd when just after 1:00AM officers attempted to stop a vehicle they observed Sandoval get into when the vehicle and drove over a sidewalk and curb, ignoring traffic laws by not stopping at a stop light at 8th and Hamilton and exceeding 80MPH in a 30MPH zone. The vehicle was located a short time later abandonded.

The vehicle had plates on it that were not registered to it, no insurance, and marijuana was found on the drivers arm rest.
