Le Mars Fire battled shed fire just East of Le Mars on Highway 3

Le Mars Fire rescue responded to Highway 3 and Marble Avenue just east of Le Mars about 6:20PM on Monday Evening for reports of a shed fire visible from Highway 3.

Initial crews on scene reported a fully involved shed fire with a nearby 500-gallon propane tank. Oyens and Remsen Fire assisted on the scene.

Firefighters were on scene for hours but had the majority of the fire under control after about 90 minutes. It's unknown at the time the amount of damage or number of buildings damaged but reports on scene indicated the home did not receive any fire damage.
