About 9:00PM South Sioux City Fire Department was called to the 500 Block of 4th Avenue for reports of heavy smoke.
According to Assistant Fire Chief Kody Keefer the first engine on scene reported heavy smoke coming and heavy fire on the ceiling towards the front of the home. Firefighters checked for occupants and didn’t locate any. South Sioux City Police Department later told them nobody was home.
Dakota City Fire assisted South Sioux City The fire was quickly extinguished. The cause of the fire is not known at this time but did not appear to be suspicious.
