Both, plead guilty to charges of Theft 2nd for robbing the Security National Bank located inside HyVee on Hamilton Blvd in Sioux City, Iowa on August 15th, 2015.
They have been booked into the Woodbury County Jail awaiting transport to an Unknown State Facility. Court Documents also show they will be required to pay restitution to the bank.
We posted the robbery on our old Community Watch page within minutes of the time it happened on August 15th of last year. Later that afternoon, we also posted a picture of the bank robber released by the police department.
Many people commented on the photo saying the robber appeared to be a girl disguised as a man. A few days later, we posted the police had two teenage girls (Angelica Perez and Heaven Zevenbergen) in custody and were charging them with conspiring to rob the bank of $10,000.
According to police reports, Angelica Perez disguised herself as a man and played the part of the bank robber, and Heaven worked in the bank as a teller. Perez passed Heaven Zevenbergen a note saying the bank was being robbed, and Zevenbergen gave Perez $10,000 After which Zevenbergen pretended to pass out. Zevenbergen later admitted to police that they had staged the robbery together, It was later learned the girls were friends and both had done well in high school before graduating earlier in the year.
