Police surround stolen RV in South Sioux City looking for escapee from Sioux Falls

Kai Conrad Hansen escaped the Minnehaha County Corrections Center on Friday, September 15th at 9:00 pm. Hansen was at the facility for burglary and theft charges.

Tuesday evening about 11:30 pm South Sioux City Police, Dakota County Sheriff’s Office and Nebraska State Patrol surrounded a motorhome at Scenic Park Campground in South Sioux City Nebraska that was stolen from Sioux Falls, Hansen is the suspect in the theft,. Repeated commands for anyone in the RV to come out went unanswered. Authorities obtained a search warrant, broke out a window and entered the motorhome, which was empty.

Law enforcement was on scene for about 2 hours. Hansen was not located.

Hansen is a 36-year-old (DOB 9/22/1980), white male, 6 foot tall, weighing 220-225lbs. He has short dark brown hair, brown eyes, and a stubble beard. Hansen is known to be involved in burglaries of casinos and breaking into video lottery machines. If you see him you're asked to contact local law enforment immediately.
