Police say that 18-year-old Devon Simons of South Sioux City has been charged in Woodbury County with 2nd-degree robbery and that charges are pending in Dakota County.

At 10:42 South Sioux City Police responded to a silent alarm at Kum&Go at 3808 Dakota Avenue for reports that they had just been robbed at gunpoint by a male suspect. Just over 2 hours later at 1:08 am the Kum&Go in Sioux City at 1005 Gordon Drive reported an armed robbery by a suspect matching the description from the South Sioux Robbery.

Police in Sioux City began regular checks of Sioux City Kum&Go and about an hour later identified a person matching the description of the suspect in the robberies at the Kum&Go at 1821 Hamilton Boulevard. Officers were able to take the suspect into custody without incident.

Simons is being held in Woodbury County Jail on $25,000 Bond. No injuries were reported in either Robbery. The amounts of the thefts are not known at this time.
