At about 9:00 AM,  Sherrif deputy attempted to stop a Red Pontiac on Old Highway 75/K45 in the Sloan area.  The driver of the car tried to flee and led the Deputy on a chase Northbound on old 75/K45 to Salix.  Officers said it looked like a back seat passenger in the car threw something out the window and speeds reached 107 going into the curve. The chase ended in a rollover accident near Salix. The driver fled on foot and Deputies located him in a sewage lagoon 300 yards from the accident.  Three of the four occupants in the car were transported to Mercy by Sloan and Salix ambulances with non-life threatening injuries.
