Man fires shotgun through apartment wall

John Desart, 42

Sioux City Police responded to Central Apartments at 11th and Jackson in Sioux City about 10 minutes to 3:00AM on Friday Morning for a report of a shot fired.

Police arrested John Desart, 42 who admitted to officers he was using the gun, a Remington 12 Guage Shotgun to intimidate his neighbors and the shot was fired while struggling with a neighbor over the gun.

Desart was charged with Felon in possession of a firearm and discharging a firearm within city limits. Desart has two previous Felony OWI convictions in South Dakota. He was booked into the Woodbury County Jail
