Former Crossroads Coordinator charged with numerous felonies following abuse and theft investigation

An investigation that started in May of 2017 of financial exploitation of many disabled dependent adults lands a Sioux City woman in jail charged with 19 felony counts of Dependent Adult Abuse, thirteen counts of 2nd-degree theft, three counts of 3rd-degree theft, and three counts of 4th-degree theft.

Lisa Ann Sembach-Preston, 49 of Sioux City was arrested on November 1st and booked into the Woodbury County Jail held on $169,000 Bond. A release from Sioux City Police says the investigation is ongoing.

A previous client tells Siouxland Scanner that Lisa Sembach-Preston previously worked for Crossroads of Western Iowa and these charges may stem from her time while employed there.
