Two hospitalized and one person in jail after late Friday shooting in Sioux City

Just before midnight Sioux City Police, Fire and EMS responded to West 6th and Sioux Streets at Cook Park for reports of a person that had been shot. EMS transported a male patient with gunshot wounds to the hospital where he remains in critical condition. A female showed up to the hospital a short time later with gunshot injuries.

A vehicle was stopped near West 8th and Sioux just after the shooting, almost the entire block was tape off and evidence collected. Multiple people were detained and interviewed from the area including individuals from Esquire Afterset at 414 West 7th.

Police say they arrested 18-year-old Matthew Bol charged with attempted murder. The investigation is ongoing.
