Pursuit of driver fleeing traffic stop ends after deputy performs PIT manuever

Woodbury County Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle in the Northwestern part of Woodbury County in Sioux City on Thursday morning when the driver fled.

After a short pursuit, the deputy performed a PIT maneuver bringing the pursuit to a stop after the SUV rolled and landed on it's top.

The driver was taken to the hospital to be checked out and then booked into the Woodbury County Jail. The driver, 40-year-old Michael Chris Jorgensen was charged with OWI 2nd, serious eluding, driver license revoked, no insurance, improper use of lane, fail to stop at stop sign, operating without registration, operating without headlights, driver license suspended, fail to yield to emergency lights, fall to obey traffic control device and is being held on a warrant from Nebraska.
