A release on October 18th says that multiple agencies are working together exploring options available to investigate what is believed to be the vehicle that went into the Missouri River on Monday, October 16th near Larsen Park Road and Floyd Boulevard. Authorities say the area an object was identified by sonar has current too strong, making it too dangerous to send divers in at this time.

Sonar images captured by Siouxland Scanner on Tuesday evening with the assistance of Aaron Post shows what appears to be a car about 20 feet down and a few hundred yard from where witnesses say the vehicle went in and about a hundred yards from witness photo showing the rear end of the car still above water with the majority of the front end submerged.

Sioux City Police Department has had no reports of missing persons matching the vehicle description. They ask that anyone who may have information of missing persons matching the vehicle description to contact Sioux City Police at 712-279-6960
