Names released from fatal accident in Friday Morning Pursuit

Woodbury County Sheriff's Department released the name of the individual killed in an accident at West 3rd and Ross as a result of pursuit on Friday Morning.

According to a tweet 38-year-old Djuan Raemel Beverly, died as a result of the accident and 23-year-old Jerell Martice Wilson was injured.

At 3:44AM a Deputy with Woodbury County Sheriff's Department initiated a traffic stop on a Red Grand Prix that was South on Hamilton Blvd at West 7th Street.

The vehicle did not stop for the Deputy and by 3:45AM medical was requested at West 3rd and Ross Street.

Sioux City Fire Rescue and Siouxland Paramedics responded to the scene for an unconscious person and a trapped person. One person was pronounced dead at the scene and the other transported to the hospital.

Sioux City Police assisted at the scene of the accident.
