Sioux City Police, Fire, and EMS responded about 20 minutes to six Thursday morning for reports of a vehicle that had crashed into King Koin Laundry at 3131 Jay Avenue.
In a release, Police say the driver a 16-year-old female was traveling North on Morningside Avenue in a 2010 Ford Fusion at a high rate of speed and was unable to navigate the bend in the roadway causing the vehicle to crash into the building. The driver was investigated for OWI by Iowa State Patrol. No citations have been issued pending the results of chemical testing.
The driver and 2 of 3 passengers reported minor injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
