A South Sioux City Police officer was responding to a disturbance at The Huddle when the officer arrived a vehicle reportedly left the scene that was involved in the disturbance.

A short time later a vehicle, a blue 2015 Chevrolet Equinox matching the description of the vehicle that left the scene hit a concrete barrier on Wesley Parkway just over the Veterans Memorial Bridge in Sioux City.

Three people in the vehicle were transported to the hospital with injuries. The male driver died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. A female passenger with serious injuries and a male passenger with non-life-threatening injuries.
