Police investigate after man was shot near 13th and Jackson in Sioux City

Police were responding to a shots fired call on Monday evening just after 10:00 pm possibly near 17th and Jackson or Jones when they located a man at 13tth and Jackson with an apparent gunshot injury to the leg who had applied their own tourniquet before police arrived.

The man was not cooperative with police and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Police interviewed people in the area and collected evidence. The incident remains under investigation.
