A neighbor says there is often conflict at the home. I witnessed one male being taken out in handcuffs and a female walked out with law enforcement. Many gathered at the entrance to the drive while police began their investigation.

The home was wrapped in police crime scene tape and initial reports indicate at least one person may have been shot. There were two ambulances on the scene.

Law Enforcement with Plymouth County Sheriff's Office, Merrill, Hinton, and Le Mars Police, as well as Iowa State Patrol and Iowa Department of Transportation, responded.
