No injuries when an SUV crashed into home and the driver fled the scene before being arrested

Just before 10:00 am Sioux City Police, Fire and EMS responded to the 1500 Block of Ingleside Avenue after a White Trailblazer driven by a female struck a home and then left the scene.

Assistant fire Chief Dan Cougill says that nobody in the home was seriously injured but EMS did treat a couple people on the scene after debris from the crash got into their eyes.

The home suffered significant damage and Sioux City Fire Rescue Urban Search and Rescue secured the damaged part of the home and Red Cross is assisting the family until repairs can be made.

The driver 20-year-old Lanessa Autum Hundley was arrested a few blocks away after her and her vehicle was located on the 1700 Block of Virginia. She has been charged with OWI, No Drivers License, Failure to have Control, and leaving the scene of an accident.
