Missouri man leaves dogs in car for 3+ hours while at Hard Rock

Sioux City Police and Animal Control were called to the Hard Rock just before 5:00 pm on Saturday after reports of 2 dogs locked in a vehicle.

The man, visiting from Missouri was noticeably aggravated after he was cited and his dogs, Pit Bulls taken by animal control until he can prove they have their rabies shots.

Temperatures outside hovered around 90 degrees Fahrenheit Saturday afternoon during the three hours the dogs were left unattended. The temperature inside the car, which was parked in the shade with the windows open was reported to be 108 degree
