Man arrested on two counts of false imprisonment after reports of a robbery on Historic Fourth

Police responded to SoHo Kitchen & Bar at 1024 4th Street about 3:15 pm on Tuesday for reports of a robbery. A description of the suspect was provided to responding officers who located the suspect about a block away and he was taken into custody without incident.

Police say the suspect Billy Joe Ottmo, 31 cornered two employees in a basement office before being escorted out. No injuries were reported and the call initially dispatched as a robbery was not a robbery.

Ottmo was arrested and charged with two counts of false imprisonment, one count of criminal trespassing and one count of public intoxication.
