Two arrests made in Westside Car Burglaries

Just before 2:00AM on Monday someone caught two males approximately 18 years old wearing black shirts and short carrying backpacks going through his vehicle near 29th and Ross. Police were able to locate the suspects in the area of W Lunah and Myrtle.

According to a release from Sioux City Police Department they arrested Nicholas Blackburn, 18 and Anthony Habeger, 19  on 3 counts of Burglary 3rd to a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Burglary Tools and Theft 5th. They were booked into the Woodbury County Jail on $2,000 Bond.

When located by police they had credit cards and a checkbook with different names, $10 in change and various electronics. During their interviews they admitted to getting into approximately 10 vehicles and checking door handles on every vehicle they came across between 2200 Allan St and 1600 West 29th St. They admitted some of the property seized was stolen during these burglaries and some from the night before.
