Assault and Theft from a Sioux City Cab Driver

Lacey Friis, 33 was arrested and charged with Theft 1st Degree and Public Intoxication.

According to court documents after a taxi ride on October 9th, 2016 Lacey stole money from the cab driver as they were giving Lacey change. When the cab driver retrieved the stolen money from Lacey she then pushed the driver as she tried to escape. 

Lacey Friis was booked into the Woodbury County Jail on $10300 Bond and has since bonded out.

Previous
Siouxland Taxi Driver reported that someone was fighting with them and was trying to rob them. 

About 2:45AM Sunday Police and First Responders responded to the 3300 Block of Concordia after Siouxland Taxi Dispatch reported that a driver was no longer responding on the radio after reporting they had a person fighting with them and was trying to rob them.
