Two transported to hospital after a man is cut during a fight

Police responded to reports of a fight near 3rd and Douglas about 5:20PM on Thursday Evening in Sioux City.

Sergeant Jay Hoogendyk says when they arrived on scene the fight had ended and the parties were a short distance away. One male individual had a laceration on his nose that he says he got after being cut with a knife by another male individual. That individual attempted to run from police but surrendered when Police deployed a K9.

Both parties were transported to separate hospitals, one with lacerations and the other with a medical issue.
