Police searching for suspect in stabbing at Dean Apartments

Just after 10:00 p.m. Thursday Evening May 11th Sioux City Police, Fire and EMS responded to the 1700 Block of Nebraska Street at the Dean Apartments in Sioux City for reports of a stabbing.

According to Sergeant Jeremy McClure upon arriving they located a male victim with a single stab wound to the chest. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. Law Enforcement established a perimeter and searched the area for an unnamed suspect but were unable to locate them.

McClure says that they are looking for another subject that may have been present during the incident for questioning, this suspect has warrants and is Anthony Buchanan a 25-year-old Native American Male. Anyone with information on his whereabouts or the incident is asked to call 712-258-TIPS
