Sioux City woman in jail after man was stabbed in a vehicle behind Kum and Go on Pierce Street

Police were approached just after 3:00 pm behind Kum & Go at 13th and Pierce by a male that has been stabbed.

Police say a female who was in a car with the victim stabbed him in his side inside of the car before taking off on foot. She was captured by police in the 1400 Block of Douglas hiding under a vehicle.

Police have arrested Brittany Nichole Lapora, 24 charged with Willful Injury. Lapora has been booked into the Woodbury County Jail.

The victim, a 75-year-old male was transported to Mercy Medical Center with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
