2 arrested after 2 burglaries Tuesday expected of other burglaries in Midwest

Just after 7:00 am on Tuesday, October 24th the Sioux City Police Department responded to a burglar alarm at Half Moon Bar & Grill at 714 South Lewis Boulevard where items had been stolen from the business after suspects forced entry. Police were not able to locate any suspects in the area after a search.

At 10:33 am police then responded to a burglary in process at Jim’s Lounge at 4505 Stone Avenue where after a short pursuit on foot and by car where police took two suspects into custody near the 3200 Block of Gordon Drive.

Police arrested 30-year-old Jerardo Ceja and 45-year-old Marianne Wiseman both charged with Burglary 3rd, Burglary 2nd, 2 counts of Criminal Mischief 2nd and 1 count of possession of burglary tools. They are being held in the Woodbury County Jail on $27000 Bond.


Investigators believe the suspects may be connected to other burglaries throughout the Midwest and are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Nice at 712-279-6384 or Crime Stoppers at 712-258-8477
