Juveniles arrested in connection to Sioux City Honey Bee business destruction in December

Sioux City Police on January 17th say they have arrested a 12 and 13-year-old in connection to the destruction of the hives. The individuals have been charged with three felonies and a misdemeanor. Criminal Mischief 1st, Agricultural Animal Facilities Offenses, Burglary 3rd, and Possession of Burglary Tools.

The owners of a Honey Bee on Sioux City's Westside went to check on their hives on Thursday Morning December 28th when they arrived they found major damage throughout.

A post on their Facebook page says that more than 50 hives and hundreds of thousands of bees were destroyed.

They ask that anyone with information contact police, they are uncertain of the future of Wild Hill Honey due to the damage sustained.
