Arrest made in Fridays Westside shooting in Sioux City

Police made an arrest Tuesday, December 11th in connection to the shooting on December 7th. Police arrested 25-year-old Tray Scott Ehlers, charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Carrying a Concealed Dangerous Weapon, Aggravated Assault, Tampering with a Witness and Possession of a Marijuana. Ehlers is being held on $20,000 Bond at the Woodbury County Jail.

Sioux City Police say a 23-year-old Brody Cobbs walked into Mercy Medical Center at 2:52 pm on Friday, December 7th with a gunshot wound. He was treated and is in stable condition.

The incident reportedly took place a short time earlier in the area of West 2nd and Leonard Streets in Sioux City when the victim was shot while sitting in his car. Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Police Department at 712-279-6440 or by contacting Crime Stoppers at 712-258-8477. The incident remains under investigation.
