North Sioux City Police recover stolen car after owner spots it being driven

The owner of a stolen 2009 Kia Optima notified police about 2:40PM that they say their vehicle headed into North Sioux City from the area of Riverside Blvd and Military Road in Sioux City.

About 10 minutes later North Sioux City Police identified a vehicle matching the description but with different plates. The occupant told the officer it was their car. Police were able to identify the car as a car reported stolen from the 1400 Block of Summit Street in Sioux City on January 3rd.

North Sioux City Police tells Siouxland Scanner that they did recover a stolen car and one person was arrested and transported to Union County Jail.
