Sioux City Lawyer Thomas Farrens charged after hit and run in early April

Court Documents show that a warrant was issued May 9th for Thomas Farrens, a Sioux City Lawyer for leaving the scene of a Serious Injury Accident on April 5th, 2016. Farrens was booked and released from the Woodbury County Jail on May 10th on $2,000 bond.

Farrens is scheduled to be in court on May 31st at 9:00AM

Shortly after the hit-and-run accident on Monday night, police found an abandoned 2015 KIA Optima EX not far from where the accident happened. Damage to the KIA was consistent with the White Minivan where two were injured and transported to Mercy Medical Center, at least, one with Serious Injuries.

The KIA’s registered owner Thomas Cody Farrens who lives not far from the scene of the accident was located at his home where he was interviewed by police and later booked into the Woodbury County Jail on a single count of NO VEH INSURANCE, that charge was later dropped.

The investigation is ongoing.
