It took crews nearly 4 hours to clear I29 Northbound near Exit 144B of an overturned Semi on Monday. Sioux City Police, Sioux City Fire Rescue, Siouxland Paramedics, Iowa State Patrol, Iowa Dot and Meier Towing all assisted. The driver of the truck refused any treatment.

In order to get traffic moving again, they started by pulling the truck into the left lane while still on its side. Once it was moved over a front-end loader was used to empty the cargo which has been reported to have been Beer from the trailer in order to lighten it up.

Meier was then able to lift the truck back onto its wheels and tow it away.
