Police responded to 5th and Main Streets on Sioux City's Cook Park area just before 4:00PM on Saturday for reports of a stabbing.

One male was transported to the hospital after receiving a couple stab wounds to the abdomen. Another man has been detained for questioning. Charges are pending once the investigation is completed. Sergeant Jeremy McClure with The Sioux City Police Department says that two men were fighting and one used a small folding knife to stab another. The stab wounds are described as non-life-threatening.
