Police looking for 3 suspects in early Morning December stabbing

Police are looking to identify and locate 3 suspects in an early morning stabbing on December 18th about 3:20AM. Siouxland Scanner received this photo on December 21st and notified police. We were asked to wait to release it while they attempted to identify and locate the suspects.

A release says two females waited in a laundry room on the second floor at the Century Apartments in Sioux City. They concealed their faces and waited for the victim, a 56-year-old man.

The two female suspects confronted the man demanding property, when he tried to get them out of his apartment he was stabbed several times, initial reports indicated he received wounds to the chest, back and leg. After the incident, the two female suspects and another male suspect fled the area.

Police tell Siouxland Scanner that they believe the suspects are not from the area, that nothing was actually stolen in the incident and that the female suspects may have been involved in a transaction with the victim earlier, before returning.

The incident is still under investigation. Police are looking to identify and locate the 2 females and one male shown in the photo released today. If you have any information about the crime or the identity of the suspects you’re asked to contact Detective Bruce Hokel at 712-898-4564.
