Just after 7:00PM Wednesday Evening firefighters responded to 3826 Garretson Avenue in Sioux City.

According to Assitant Chief Dan Cougill upon arrival crews reported smoke and once they made entry into the front door located the fire and were able to extinguish it. Four residents were trapped on the second floor and crews were able to get them out safely with no injuries reported. The first floor is currently under renovation. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
