Just before 7:00 a.m. Sunday Morning May, 21 Sioux City Police, Iowa State Patrol and Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1000 Morningside Avenue for reports of an armed robbery.

Scanner traffic indicated that a male entered the store and demanded money while displaying a handgun. The suspect is described as a possibly white male, 5’11” weighing 175 lbs, wearing a blue hat with eye holes cut out, black gloves and a brown jacket. The gun was described as a smaller black handgun.

The suspect fled the area on foot headed Northwest on Morningside Avenue.

Sioux City Police with the assistance of Woodbury County Sheriff and Iowa State Patrol setup a perimeter and searched the area.
