Sioux City Police setup to stop pursuit coming from Plymouth County of stolen vehicle

About 11:00 am Sioux City Police received information that a Plymouth County Deputy was in pursuit of a stolen vehicle on K18 just north of the City.


Police set up to intercept and end the pursuit at locations on the West side of Sioux City once the pursuit began going South on Highway 12 headed toward Sioux City. The pursuit entered the city just after 11:00 am going South on Highway 12. Once it entered the city it headed east on Military Road where officers were waiting near Casselman Street with stop sticks.

The vehicle swerved and ultimately came to a stop just off the road before the stop sticks. Both the driver and passenger surrendered and were taken into custody. The passenger was released a short time later and the driver 25-year-old Megan Marie McMillin was transported back to Plymouth County on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, theft 2nd, eluding, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The vehicle McMillin was driving, a 2011 Hyundai Sonata was reported stolen out oof Sioux City on November 23rd.
