Fataility Accident on Hwy 35 near Emerson

A fatal accident 2 miles East of the Emerson turn on Highway 35 in Nebraska was reported about 12:30PM on Tuesday. At the time of the accident, a storm was moving through the area reports of flooded roads were coming in.
One person was transported to Mercy Medical Center, and one person sustained fatal injuries.
Multiple agencies including Dakota County Sheriff's Department, Nebraska State Patrol and Homer Fire Rescue Responded. Mercy Air Care was requested however could not respond due to weather conditions.
We do not yet know the cause of the accident.
