Police surround home in South Sioux City

About 10:45PM on Friday South Sioux City Police surrounded a home on A Street and had surrounding roads blocked off.

According to a post on their Facebook Page South Sioux City Police say the incident started after a man made comments to a family member that he thought of harming himself. The family member with the assistance of police was able to convince the man to come out. The man made no threats to anyone and came out of the house peacefully without incident. The area was surrounded and secured as a precaution. The man was transported to the hospital for treatment.
