Police arrest man after pursuit ends on West Side

Police arrest Matthew Lynam, 29 after pursuit Thursday evening

At approximately 10:30PM on Thursday evening, Sioux City Police attempted to stop a described White Cadillac with a cursive W in the back Window near 13th and Nebraska. The driver eluded police into the Westside where he abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot before being apprehended near West 3rd and Main St.

Lynam was booked into the Woodbury County Jail on numerous charges including, drivers license suspended, fail to stop, fail to obey traffic control device, eluding reckless driving, no vehicle insurance, speeding, driving left of center and expired registration. He’s currently being held on $5000 Bond.
