Le Mars Police warn residents of rash of car break-ins

After numerous reports of car break-ins in Le Mars, mostly in driveways and garages. Police take to Facebook to warn residents of thefts and remind them to lock their doors.

In a post to their Facebook Page, Le Mars Police said many break-ins have one thing in common, vehicles are being left unlocked and valuables inside. Some items reported stolen include, cash, electronics, purses, wallets, and other items of value.


Police are reminding people to lock their car doors and not leave anything of value in their vehicle if possible and out of sight when not possible.

- Engage your alarm
- Hide your valuables before you get to your destination
- Park in well lit open areas
