Person shot in shoulder over drug debt two arrested on 1st Degree Robbery

In the early morning hours of March 9th court documents say that 22-year-old Luis Lira and 23-year-old Kelsey Kritzer met unidentified people at the Singing Hills WalMart to collect a drug debt owed to Kelsey Kritzer.


When they met at the parking lot Kritzer instructed Lira to collect the money. Lira then pointed a pistol through the passenger window and demanded money, the vehicle occupants then fled the area in their car, this is when police say Lira fired at their car. The bullet passing through the back window striking the driver in the shoulder.

Lira was apprehended on March 15, 2017, during a traffic stop in Sergeant Bluff where one and a half grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located during a vehicle search.

The victim of the shooting is not being identified.


Kelsey Marie Kritzer, 23 is charged with 1st Degree Robbery and is being held in the Woodbury County Jail on $100,000 Bond, her next court appearance is scheduled for March 27, 2017, at 9:00AM.

Luis Fernando Lira, 22 is charged with 1st Degree Robbery, Reckless use of a Firearms, Felon in Possession of Firearm, Possession of Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and is being held in the Woodbury County Jail on $300,000 Bond with his next court appearance scheduled for March 27, 2017, at 9:00AM
