Stabbing suspect arrested and charged after turning himself in

Lori Noltze with Sioux City Police says that on Monday Morning the suspect 33-year-old Jess M Pinney turned himself in and is in custody.


Pinney is charged with 2 counts of Willful Injury and 3 counts of Aggravated Assault, after a stabbing incident that took place on March 26, 2017 about 2:16 a.m. on the 1000 block of 4th Street in Sioux City.

Pinney has since posted bond.

Police and emergency crews responded to reports of a stabbing, they located 4 victims suffering from stab wounds. The incident happened after bystanders intervened in a domestic dispute, the male suspect then turned on the victims and stabbed them. All victims were transported to Mercy Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries and later released.
