Police arrest man on mulitple charges after they tried to stop a stolen car

About 3:00 pm on Wednesday, December 13th Sioux City Police spotted a stolen car out of Dakota County in the area of 17th and Ingleside in Sioux City. When police attempted to stop it a short time later the driver fled at a high rate of speed. Pursuit policies prevented officers from chasing the suspect. Officers were able to locate the car just after it was ditched on the 100 Block of Sparks Street.


Officers located the suspected driver, 30-year-old Kevin Lawrence Adams in the area and he was arrested and charged with Theft 2, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, No Drivers License, No Insurance, Failure to Stop. He's being held in the Woodbury County Jail on $9500 Bond
