Driver faces numerous charges in Iowa and South Dakota after pursuit

Sioux City Police attempted to stop a van after observing it driving recklessly. The driver did not stop for police and went into South Dakota. A North Sioux Officer had been advised and was ready with stop sticks.

The driver of the van drove over the stop sticks deflating its front tires. The driver fled on foot and hid in a ditch between Military Road and Interstate 29 near Washington Street in North Sioux.

With the assistance of a Sioux City Police K9, the driver was located and transported to the hospital to be checked out. Once released will face charges in both Iowa and South Dakota.
