Man with felony warrant flees from police in stolen vehicle before crashing Wednesday

Police say officers were attempting to serve a felony arrest warrant on 39-year-old William Schoen at a residence on the 3800 Block of 3rd Avenue in Morningside about 4:52 pm on Wednesday, September 19th when he got into a stolen truck and fled from Officers.

He continued to elude officers at a high rate of speed through Morningside and up highway 75 and onto 6th street in Sioux City when he collided with a citizen vehicle at 6th and Hoeven Drive.

Schoen was taken to the hospital where he remains for injuries described as non-life-threatening he sustained in the crash. In addition to the felony warrant Schoen is facing multiple felony and traffic charges as a result of the pursuit.

The driver of the vehicle Schoen hit was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
