After an autopsy determined the victim found at the Motel fire died of strangulation, an additional charge against Jordan Henry for Murder 1st Degree have been added.

Police say just before 3:00 am Friday, January 25th they received a call of a suspicious person. That person, Jordan Christopher Henry, 29 was arrested on charges including 1st Degree Arson related to the Wingate by Windham hotel fire at 9:24 pm on Thursday Evening.

Police are releasing few details on the incident as the investigation is in its' infancy. They say Henry was taken into custody without incident.

The female victim 40-year-old Elizabeth Bockholt, a mother of 4 was found deceased at the hotel after the unsuccessful life-saving efforts by Fire and EMS personnel. Additionally fire and smoke damaged items were located in the hotel room.

Firefighters responded to Wingate Wyndham Hotel at 4716 Southern Hills Drive in Sioux City Thursday at 9:24 pm for reports of smoke coming from a room of the hotel.

Firefighters found smoke and fire and an unresponsive female in the room, the victim was transported to the hospital. She was pronounced dead. Sioux City Police and Fire and investigating the cause of the fire and death.

No other information is being released at this time.
