Early Wednesday Morning an assault report was taken after a person was stabbed in the leg after they approached an individual trying to break into their vehicle.

The victim told police they awoke to sound of someone trying to break into their vehicle on the 3800 block of 4th Ave. The victim approached the suspect in an attempt to scare them off and was stabbed in the leg.

The suspect fled on foot.
