Christmas Eve Fatality crash South of Le Mars in Plymouth County

About 11:30 am Hinton EMS, Plymouth County Deputies, Iowa State Patrol, and Kingsley Fire/EMS responded to K49 and C70 for reports of a crash.

Plymouth County Sheriff's Office says a 2015 GMC pickup was traveling North of K49 and failed to stop for a stop sign when it collided with a Westbound Chevrolet Equinox. Both vehicles left the roadway coming to rest in a field.

Occupants of the GMC were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The causes of the crash remains under investigation but alcohol is not a factor in the crash.
