Hinton Elevator Explosion sends 2 to the hospital

Shortly after 1:00 pm on Thursday afternoon an explosion at an Elevator in Hinton sent 2 to Mercy Medical with unknown injuries. Hinton, Merrill and LeMars Fire Rescue and Siouxland Paramedics all responded. Highways and Railroads through Hinton were shut down until about 2:30 pm while Fire Departments battled the fires. Scanner Traffic indicated at least 3 fires in the Silo right next to the office after the explosion. 

Scanner Traffic later indicated 1 or both injured would be going to Omaha possibly by helicopter.
